Yes, when the ear has been checked first. We use a controlled warm-water irrigator, which has replaced the old metal syringe. It is not suitable if you have a perforated eardrum, a recent ear infection or previous ear surgery, which is why we check before we start.

If the wax is too hard, we will advise drops and book you back in. The consultation fee covers the assessment and advice.
