Consultant Anaesthetist | Aesthetic Lead

Dr Asis Behura is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust and serves as the Aesthetic Lead at SABA Healthcare. He trained through the West Midlands and Leicester Schools of Anaesthesia and has extensive experience in major surgical anaesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine.

Within the NHS, he leads pre-operative assessment services for high-risk patients and plays an active role in supervising and teaching trainee doctors. His work reflects a strong commitment to clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.

At SABA Healthcare, Dr Behura brings this depth of medical expertise to aesthetic medicine, ensuring a medically-led, safety-first approach to all procedures. His background in anaesthesia and pain management supports precision, patient comfort, and meticulous attention to detail.

Ms Banchhita Sahu is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Lead for Gynaecological Oncology.. She trained in the East Midlands, UK, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 2016. She is certified by the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery (EAGS) as a Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon and is a British Menopause Society (BMS) Certified Menopause Specialist and Trainer.

At SABA Healthcare, Ms Sahu leads specialist women’s health services, providing expert care across all stages of a woman’s life — from menstrual health and fertility concerns to menopause and complex gynaecological conditions.

Dr Syed Hussain Sheik is the Registered Manager of SABA Healthcare and a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Broomfield Hospital, Mid and South Essex University Hospital NHS Trust. With over 25 years of international experience across the UK, Canada, Qatar, and India, he brings senior clinical expertise alongside strong operational and governance leadership.

He holds FFICM (UK), FRCA (London), and EDIC (Europe), as well as international certification in Healthcare Quality Improvement and formal NHS Quality Improvement Leadership training.

At SABA Healthcare, Dr Sheik provides overall responsibility for regulatory compliance, clinical governance, patient safety systems, and continuous service improvement. He is committed to building a safe, accountable, and patient-centred organisation grounded in high clinical standards and effective leadership.

Dr Jabbar is an experienced General Practitioner with over 15 years serving patients in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding villages. She is widely respected within the local community for her compassionate, patient-centred approach and clinical expertise across all areas of primary care.

She has a particular specialist focus in women’s health and holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). Her additional qualifications include MRCGP, MRCP, and DCH (Diploma in Child Health), reflecting broad expertise in adult medicine, paediatrics, and holistic family care.

Dr Jabbar has also established lifestyle medicine clinics locally, supporting patients with sustainable health improvements through personalised lifestyle change — an approach that complements her preventive and whole-person care philosophy.

Alongside her clinical work, she teaches medical students from University College London (UCL) and King’s College London, contributing to the development of the next generation of doctors.

At SABA Healthcare, Dr Jabbar provides comprehensive GP services with a specialist interest in women’s health, contraception, menopause care, child health, and preventive lifestyle medicine.

Dr Deb Ghosh is a Consultant Gastroenterologist currently practising within the NHS. He graduated in 1994 and moved to the UK in 2001, undertaking specialist gastroenterology training through the London Deanery (South West Thames rotation).

He completed advanced training in liver disease at the internationally renowned King’s College Hospital Liver Unit and St George’s Hospital, and further specialised in advanced endoscopy, including ERCP, at St George’s Hospital — a recognised national centre of excellence. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2010, where he serves as Lead for Hepatology and Departmental Audit Lead.

Dr Ghosh is actively involved in research and is Principal Investigator for a multi-centre chronic liver disease trial.

Dr Opeyemi Oshingbesan is a UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrist with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry and an endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry. She serves as the lead clinician for ADHD assessment and adult mental health services at SABA Healthcare.

Dr Oshingbesan specialises in comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults, including diagnostic clarification and management of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She provides structured, evidence-based assessments and personalised treatment plans to support long-term mental wellbeing.

Alongside her ADHD expertise, she has extensive experience in managing complex affective disorders, psychosis, trauma-related conditions, and dual diagnosis cases involving substance misuse. Her clinical background spans NHS community services, perinatal mental health, acute inpatient psychiatry, and multidisciplinary team leadership.

She is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych), holds Section 12 Approved Clinician status, and has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA), strengthening her insight into governance, service delivery, and patient experience.

Dr Muhammed Ottayil is a UK-trained Consultant Paediatrician with specialist expertise in child health and paediatric neurology. Appointed as a Consultant in 2013 after completing specialist training in the East of England, he has developed and led paediatric neurology and epilepsy services in Chelmsford and now serves as the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Neurology. 

He brings extensive experience in both NHS and private practice, providing evidence-based, family-centred care for children from infancy through adolescence. In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Ottayil is a Unit Programme Director for trainee doctors, an examiner for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and a dedicated medical educator with award-winning supervisory roles.

Dr Ottayil sees children up to the age of 18 and is known for his calm, reassuring, and child-friendly approach to consultation.

Mr Prakash completed his MS Orthopaedics (Gold Medallist) in India, obtained FRCS (Glasgow), and undertook three UK spinal fellowships in Nottingham, Dorset and Harlow, covering complex deformity, degenerative spine, trauma and tumour work. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and podium presentations, and has a longstanding commitment to governance,consent, MDT working, audit and the training of junior surgeons.

He is a highly experienced Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon whose practice has spanned complex spinal surgery, upper and lower limb surgery, trauma and sports injury surgery in busy UK hospitals and multidisciplinary teams. Over his consultant career he has performed more than 1,300 spinal procedures, injection treatments, managing degenerative, deformity, trauma, tumour and infection-related spinal disorders. He has also gained extensive experience in managing upper and lower limb conditions and orthopaedic trauma during his years at Southend University Hospital and multiple other renowned centres.

His current independent sector practice is centred on spinal and orthopaedic outpatient services, with a strong emphasis on spinal (including facet joint, caudal epidural and trigger point injections) and musculoskeletal pain management injections for upper and lower limb conditions, alongside structured conservative care. He aims to provide clear diagnosis, rational use of imaging, and tailored treatment plans that prioritise function, safety and patient understanding.

Mr Prakash offers comprehensive clinic-based spinal and orthopaedic conservative care with particular expertise in:

Spinal pain: Degenerative spinal pathologies including disc degeneration, disc prolapse, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, facet joint arthritis, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and coccydynia, presenting as neck pain, back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, coccyx pain and sciatica type symptoms.

Management of spinal pain: Facet joint injections, caudal epidural injections and trigger point injections.

General orthopaedics and trauma management: Arthritis and soft tissue conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle, managed through peripheral joint, soft tissue and trigger point injections, plus adult trauma followup.

Mr Prakash combines specialist expertise with a calm, methodical and patient-centred approach. He places strong emphasis on clear explanation of diagnosis, realistic discussion of options and shared decision-making, delivering evidence-based, personalised management plans designed to improve function, relieve pain and support long-term musculoskeletal health, with appropriate referral to where surgery is indicated, within a well governed clinical framework.

Sasha Ryan is the Deputy Manager at SABA Health Clinic, bringing extensive experience in primary care operations, leadership, and patient-facing services. She supports clinic operations, team management, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Sasha has significant experience in primary care and currently also  works  part time at Church Street Surgery in Bishop’s Stortford, where she serves as Reception Team Lead. In this role, she provides daily oversight of reception operations, manages staff workflows, handles complex patient queries, and works closely with GPs to support efficient patient care.

With a strong background spanning healthcare administration, database management, and senior commercial leadership — including her previous role as EMEA Sales Manager at BusinessWeek — Sasha combines operational structure with a calm, solutions-focused approach.

At SABA Health Clinic, she supports the Registered Manager in overseeing day-to-day clinic operations, team coordination, patient service standards, and administrative systems. She plays a key role in ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.

Leadership Approach

Sasha is known for her approachable manner, organisational strength, and ability to lead both independently and collaboratively. She is committed to delivering efficient, patient-centred services while supporting a positive and high-performing clinic team.

Gaynor is a highly professional, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent individual with extensive experience in customer service, administration, and client relationship management. She is known for her calm, patient manner and her ability to build strong, trusting relationships through kindness and care.

With a background spanning retail, accounts administration, travel services, and client coordination, Gaynor brings excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a confident telephone manner to her role. She has experience managing client queries independently, resolving concerns efficiently, and maintaining high standards of professionalism in fast-paced environments.

Jade is an experienced Executive Assistant and Senior PA with a strong background in business administration and project management. Recognised for her integrity, reliability, and professionalism, she has extensive experience supporting senior leaders, including C-Suite executives, with discretion and efficiency.

Highly organised and proactive, Jade excels at managing multiple priorities within fast-paced environments, ensuring clear communication and seamless operational flow. She thrives in collaborative settings where structure, teamwork, and attention to detail drive high standards of service delivery.

At SABA Healthcare, Jade provides executive and operational support to the leadership team while also overseeing key administrative and patient coordination processes. She plays an important role in ensuring a smooth, responsive, and professional patient experience from initial contact through to ongoing communication.

In addition to her professional work, Jade has served as a Trustee of a charitable organisation since 2021, supporting healthcare and educational initiatives for disadvantaged communities in India.

Debbie is a senior leader with significant experience across both the private sector and the NHS. A Natural Sciences graduate of Trinity College Dublin, she brings a structured, analytical approach to governance, performance improvement, and strategic oversight.

In her private sector career, Debbie led Board-level, multi-functional teams delivering substantial profit improvements and operational efficiencies within complex service environments. Her expertise lies in aligning strategy with measurable outcomes while maintaining strong financial and organisational control.

Since joining the NHS in 2017, she has applied her commercial insight and operational discipline to public healthcare settings, supporting sustainable service delivery and collaborative leadership cultures.

As Honorary Board Advisor to SABA Healthcare, Debbie provides independent strategic guidance, governance perspective, and performance oversight to support safe, effective, and sustainable growth.

Michelle Shanahan is an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with extensive expertise in primary care, sexual and reproductive health, and clinical leadership. She is RCN-accredited and holds qualifications in non-medical prescribing, advanced clinical assessment, and minor illness management.

At SABA Healthcare, Michelle leads Travel Health services, providing comprehensive pre-travel risk assessments, vaccination advice, and personalised travel care plans. She also delivers advanced primary care clinics, including sexual and reproductive health, women’s health support, and minor illness management.

Michelle is accredited in LARC (implant and coil fitting), HRT management, pessary fitting, and cervical cytology training. She has held senior leadership roles within Primary Care Networks, mentoring clinicians and students, leading education programmes, and supporting CQC compliance and governance standards. She previously served as a Specialist Advisor for CQC inspections, contributing to the assessment of safe and high-quality care delivery.
